Coolamon Shire
Marrar Brigade
The Marrar Rural Fire Brigades records can be followed back to 1968,
but the Brigade was formed sometime before this date.
In 1996 the Kinilabah and Marrar Brigades disbanded to form the Marrar
North Brigade. In 2000 Marrar North and Marrar Central joined together
to form the Marrar Rural Fire Brigade as it is today.
Through the 1970’s and 1980’s Marrar had a Dodge tanker,
followed by a 6 x 6 International. Today the Brigade has a CAT 1 Isuzu
and a CAT 1 Bedford.
