Fire Control Centre

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) has fire management responsibilities for over 90 per cent of the landmass of the State of New South Wales.

These responsibilities are effectively discharged through 141 Rural Fire Districts, Teams and Zones.

The Riverina Zone Fire Control Centre at 208 Fernleigh Road, Wagga Wagga forms the administrative and operational base of the Zone.

The coordination and management of local brigades’ responses to fire and other incidents – including natural disasters, motor vehicle accidents and other civil emergencies – is undertaken through the Zone Fire Control Centre.
